Hey all, Due to response, I’ll be adding DJ clearance classes on Monday the 31st and Wednesday the 2nd. The new form is under this very text! Loading…
The Spring General Meeting is scheduled for January 21, 2011 at 6pm in afterHOURS. This is the single most important meeting for new DJs to find out how to go about comping for WRBB. Returning DJs must attend to get priority for their show request; we have a lot to update you guys on (especially if you’ve been gone a while), so don’t miss it. The first part of the meeting will be newbies + veterans, then we’ll let the vets leave so we can haze orient the newbs. Also, if you’re interested in Work Study with WRBB, we have a bunch of open positions; get paid to do air and help out with the crazy stuff we have planned! If you’re a returning work study, hit me up and we’ll get you situated, if you haven’t work-studied with us before, I’ll be holding interviews on Jan. 18 and 21 at 2pm in the station. Walk-ins are welcome, but email ahead to secure your place. If those two times don’t work for you, email me and we’ll set up another time.
IF YOU’RE HERE LOOKING TO FIND OUT ABOUT SHOW REQUESTS OR GETTING A SHOW, SCROLL DOWN ONE POST. Following up on last year’s Top Album chart, I present to you 2010′s most-played list. While last year’s list was curious because it included such relevant classics as the Allman Brothers’ Idlewild South, this year we have an interesting list because either New Hampshire hardcore has become contagious or Marisa is the only one logging into Spinitron. I’m not stoked on either alternative. Without further ado, the list, given in reverse order (for SUSPENSE) by Disk Spins:
Dear WRBB DJs: the Spring semester Show Request Form is now LIVE! It can be accessed from the link above in the menu bar. Some guidelines: DO NOT SUBMIT THIS FORM IF YOU ARE NOT CLEARED. Let me repeat, your form will be DELETED without notice if you have not gone through the appropriate training. There is far too high throughput in these forms to cater to each and every form that isn’t cleared. If you aren’t sure of your clearance status, don’t pass go, email the Program Director. If you do not submit a form, you will not get a show. This goes for all community members, alumni, eboard members, student DJs, etc. As I explained in my note on the door, we cannot continue to grandfather shows in. Please submit the form once per semester; this new form needs to be filled out or you risk losing your time slot, no exceptions. You will be given priority for your show time if you have held it for a long time, as long as your paperwork is submitted on time. Otherwise, here’s to a new year at WRBB!
