Actor|Observer is: Greg Marquis – Vocals/Guitar Alex Paul – Guitar/Vocals Brett Colangelo – Bass Dan Bob Goterch – Drums WRBB—Marisa: So this is your first Warped Tour— Brett: Yes! Well, first one I’m playing…I’ve been before many times. Right, the first time that Actor|Observer has played Warped Tour Brett: Yes, yes it is! How’d it feel?! Brett: Uhm…it felt really…cool. There were a lot of friends and fans that we’ve known who have become almost like family, that’ll come up to us and be like “hey!” and give us a big hug. We do our best to remember everyone’s names and stuff like that because you know, it feels nice- I mean it felt nice when I was a kid when like Therefore I Am knew your name and it felt real good so we try and make an effort.  But yeah, Brian Marquis who used to be in Therefore I Am came and did guest vocals with us, which he’s only done once before because he lives in California, so it was really fun. But other than that it felt like a regular show! I noticed you guys had a pretty solid fan base in this crowd! I can see it building over time and it makes me excited for you. Brett: Yeah it’s really exciting. Warped Tour Recap – Mansfield, MA

July 24, 2012 in Featured, Shows by Marisa

Written by: Marisa Young Photos by: Julia Gawle Last Thursday, July 19th The Vans Warped Tour came crashing through Massachusetts at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. The tour was more than half way through its course with 26 dates already under its belts and only 14 more remaining. As usual, the day brought over 100 bands playing on over 8 different stages, and drew hundreds of teenaged attendees. Unlike the past few years Warped Tour has come through MA, the weather couldn’t have been better with zero rain and a nice breeze to keep the masses cool (although several sunburns were spotted as the day carried on). The first bands began playing around 11:45am after the majority of the crowd hustled in through the opening gates. At this point, many people were anxiously running around the parking lot and amphitheater trying to grasp their bearings as well as determining which stage was where and what bands were playing at which times. This year, the tour brought several Boston based bands along with it, including Four Year Strong, A Loss For Words, Vanna, and Transit to name a few. It was no surprise the crowd was thrilled to catch the sets of their locals, as large crowds and overly energetic fans appeared for each of these bands. It was evident the native bands were thrilled to play for their hometown fans as well. Top: A Loss For Words; Bottom: Shawn Marquis, Vanna Every year the Ernie Ball Stage is awesome to watch, featuring local battle of the band winners to perform on the stage throughout the day. This stage is a great place for upcoming local bands to showcase their talent and draw the attention of concert go-ers who haven’t yet heard their music. Post-hardcore band Actor|Observer were among the first
