DJ Miles Blumenau picks a different theme each week and builds a playlist around it. The show sometimes features background information about the theme in addition to the music. Genres may vary dramatically from show to show, and often within a show. Listen to past episodes at https://www.mixcloud.com/bsawrbb/ .

S2E12: Music to study to
A playlist for finals week.
S2E11: Outtakes
This week's episode is a few songs that didn't end up in previous playlists, as well as songs from playlist ideas that I never made into full shows.
S2E10: Modern vintage R&B/disco, folk
A collection of mostly recent songs that have a vintage R&B sound, mixed with ones that have a folk sound. I couldn't decide between two ideas, so I ended up mashing them up.
S2E9: Freestyle
Sometimes when listening to music, I just pick a bunch of songs to play in a row on the fly, instead of using a premade playlist or letting something play. I decided to see what happened if I tried doing that for a show. This will be sort of like the word-association game but with music. (I have some backup music planned in case this goes wrong, but I'd like to see how this concept turns out.)
S2E8: Concert band
This is the time of year when Northeastern's band would typically play its spring concert, so I made a playlist of pieces I've played in concert band, both at Northeastern and before that.
S2E7: Modern vintage
A playlist of music by recent artists who play in older genres.
S2E6: A sunny day
Songs with "sun" in the name. This is taken mostly from an older radio show concept that I made in 2018-19.
S2E5: Modern international folk
A playlist of loosely-connected songs that are based in folk traditions but also incorporate modern elements. This includes bands that combine folk songs with other genres.
S2E4: Casual show
Just a few songs I had downloaded and threw on a playlist.
S1E3: Minimalist music
Penguin Cafe, Philip Glass, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Bruce Brubaker, and more.
S2E2: Bandcamping
This episode is a collection of music that I've found on Bandcamp.
S2E1: Instrumental synth music
A collection of various kinds of synth instrumentals (and a few songs that don't entirely fit that category).
Episode 12: Winter holidays
A playlist of various kinds of Christmas music (and one Hanukkah song). The last playlist of Bite-Size Adventures' first semester.
Episode 11: Songs released in 2020
This is a collection of some songs I like that were released this year. (I listen to a lot of music on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series, so some of these songs are songs from before this year that were played on that series this year.)
Episode 10: Artists who died in 2020
A look at the music of some notable musicians who died this year, including Neil Peart, Adam Schlesinger, and Manu Dibango.
Kenopsia
Kenopsia is the haunting atmosphere of a place that's normally crowded but is empty, often at night. This week's playlist is a mixture of songs that sound like that in some way.
Desert Bus for Hope
This episode has music from the charity stream Desert Bus for Hope.
WRBB 50th Anniversary
This episode celebrates the 50th anniversary of WRBB's first FM radio broadcast on November 4, 1970. It's a mixture of songs that were released or were popular in 1970 and newer songs that I first heard on WRBB.
Episode 6: Recent rock
A collection of various rock songs released in the past few years. This one involves less background and is more focused on just music.
Episode 5: Halloween
A collection of music about Halloween, related to Halloween, or just generally related to Halloween. To listen to this show after it's done, go to mixcloud.com/bsawrbb
Episode 4: Desert blues
Mdou Moctar, Tinariwen, Fatoumata Diawara, Etran Finatawa, and more.
Episode 3: Boston local artists
A collection of artists past and present from Boston or the Boston area. If you're looking at this description, you are a great person and Bite-Size Adventures would like to congratulate you on discovering this Easter egg.
Episode 2: Shows I've seen live
This is a collection of songs from bands that I've seen live. Most of these are songs that I saw them play.
Episode 1: Video game soundtracks
Screaming Females, Aperture Science Psychoacoustic Laboratories, Garoad, insaneintherainmusic, and more.
